Ingredients
- 5 eggs (only whites)
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 1 tsp Sprig Vanilla Extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1 cup Sprig Banana and Caramel Banoffee
- Strawberries and nuts for topping
Directions
- Pre-heat your oven to 120 C
- Line a baking tray with baking paper
- In a clean bowl, drop the egg whites and beat on high with an electric mixer till soft peaks are formed
- Add the sugar one spoon at a time
- Finally add the salt and vanilla and beat till it peaks (the mixture will be glossy and silky by now)
- In a piping bag with a star nozzle add the egg whites and pipe small buttons
- Once done, pop into the pre-heated oven and bake for 40 mins
- After they are done, place a wooden spoon between the door of the oven and let it sit for another 2 hours. This will make sure that the meringues are nice, dry and crisp
- In another bowl beat the cream on high till it is nice and stiff
- Time to Assemble: Spoon some Banoffee Spread onto the bottom of your dessert glass, add the meringues, followed by the cream
- Generously drizzle more of the spread and top with fresh strawberries and nuts
