Ingredients
For the doughnuts
- ¾ cup of Sprig Dulce De Leche
- 1 cup of butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup + 4 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- A pinch of salt
- ¾ cup milk
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 Cups + 6 tbsp cake flour
For the toppings
- ¼ cup Sprig Dulce De Leche
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
Directions
- Pre-heat your oven to 180oC and grease the doughnut pan
- Add the vinegar to the milk and set aside to curdle
- In a bowl, combine the baking powder, baking soda, salt and flour and mix well
- In another large bowl, add the sugar and butter. Whisk till the mixture is pale
- Then add eggs one at a time and whisk well into the butter-sugar mixture
- Now add the Sprig Dulce De Leche and mix well to combine; next, add vanilla essence
- Next, add half the milk followed by the flour mixture; add the other half of the milk and flour
- Whisk well to make sure all the ingredients combine well
- Pour the batter into a piping bag and pipe into the greased doughnut pan
- Bake for 20 min or till a toothpick inserted comes out clean
- Pop the doughnut rings out of the baking pan 5 min after you take them out of the oven
- In a bowl, add the caster sugar and cinnamon powder and mix well
- Then spoon Sprig Dulce De Leche over the doughnuts and spring the cinnamon sugar over it
